Chorus Rehearsal CDs give choral singers a chance to practice their parts on their own, thus sparing their fellow choir members, their chorus leader and their conductor from endless 'note-bashing' repetitions. And once the notes are confidently known, the words can perhaps be sung with interest - even feeling...
Your own part is clearly highlighted in the mix of voices, but you can hear the other parts and full piano accompaniment in the background. This means that you not only get used to your own part, but you also become very familiar with how your part fits into the overall structure so you are much more confident with your entries. The choir parts on the recordings we produce are synthesised rather than instrumental or vocal, both for economic reasons and because synthesised sound does the job of note rehearsal more clearly and effectively. No attempt is made to convey words or dynamics. In short, these are recordings to work with - which are also intended to be enjoyable when you hold a score and sing along with them. Please Note, these rehearsal tapes and CDs are for the Choruses Only in all the works on offer. They are not for soloists and there are no rehearsal recordings for sections done by soloists only. There is very little demand for such a service as almost all soloists are good sight readers. It also makes the discs much easier to use for ordinary chorus members, and saves valuable disc space on longer works. |

CD Content: The maximum length of a CD which will play on all players is a little over an hour. Where space allows, all or part of a balanced version of a work is included after the highlighted part tracks. This is useful in the later stages of practice. Please note that there are no words on these recordings, which use a subtle blend of synthesized instruments to give a clear indication of the notes only. Delivery Cost: The price for any quantity of CDs includes shipping within the UK only. Delivery to Europe, USA and all other countries is additional. Delivery charges are calculated automatically on our order page. For small orders, typical delivery times are 3-4 working days in the UK, 5-6 days in Europe, 6-8 days to the USA & Canada and 8-12 days elsewhere in the world. Delivery may take a little longer for larger orders & at busier times of the year. Online Payment: We now use PayPal to process card payments. You can use your card to make a payment without signing up to PayPal (though of course they encourage you to do so). Please note that we will not begin to ship until we've received your payment. In cases where we are unable to supply goods to your satisfaction, we will of course refund any payments made.
